Membership
General Requirements
You must be at least 18 years of age. Seraphim is a guild comprised of, and geared to, adults. Our conduct and conversations will reflect this. If we discover that a Member has not been truthful with us in this respect, he or she will be immediately removed.
Ranks
- Nephilim - Member / Alt. Nephilim are friends and alts of our raiders. While having no direct access to the guild's resources, all are available to them at the discretion of the Seraph. They are not elligible to raid in 25-mans without first resubmitting an application.
- Cherub - Recruit. A provisional Member is accepted into our group under this title. During one's time as a Cherub, he/she will be evaluated by the guild for general conduct, attendance, and raid performance. A Cherub should seek out an Archangel or Seraph for assistance when needed.
- Angel - Raider. An Angel has successfully completed their evaluation period and is performing to the Guild's expectations. He/she may submit referrals for Membership, and have full access to raid rewards/loot as described in the Raid FAQ.
- Archangel - Officers. An Archangel has sacrificed his or her time to improve the Guild in one or more ways. This includes raid leaders and class leaders. Those that willingly contribute to the daily operation of the guild without the management aspect of the Seraph (see below) are Archangels.
- Seraph - Leader of the Guild.
Loot Policies
Seraphim loot policies are a mix of suicide kings, loot council, and open rolling, determined situationally:
- Heroics - All loot drops from Heroic (and normal) 5-man instances are open roll on upgrades. The exception to this is if a party is formed attempting to acquire a specific item for a member of the party. If the item drops the party member may claim the item as his/her own.
- 10-Man Raids - The majority of all loot in 10-man raids will be handled with open rolls.
- 25-Man Raids - The majority of all loot in 25-man raids will be handled via the DKP system.
Please make note that final say on all loot in a raid environment rests on the decision of the raid or Guild leader. Occasionally these individuals will override stated loot policy and assign loot to key raid members should the need arise. For example, the raid or Guild leader may override loot policy to get a member his/her 2 or 4-piece set bonus.
Alt Policies
- Alts in the Guild - Currently there is no restriction on the number or level of alts you may have in the Guild.
- Loot for Alts - Players must designate their main character and, in the case of multi-role hybrid classes, a spec. In the case of a new recruit the position/spec he/she is recruited for is considered the main character. All other characters will be considered alts, and so noted in the public guild notes. Main characters will have preference for loot over alt characters.
- Changing Your Main - To change your main character you must petition the Seraphim leadership, who will determine if such a change is needed or helpful to our raiding efforts. Similarly, the Seraphim leadership may request a change in main character or main character spec depending on Guild needs.
If raid leadership requests a member attend a raid with an alt character that character is considered a main character for the duration of said raid, and all other rules (DKP, loot council, random roll, etc...) will be enforced as per normal.
